ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic has limited routine community health services, including screening for non-communicable diseases (NCDs). An adaptive and innovative digital approach is needed in the health technology ecosystem. A portable health clinic (PHC) is a community-based mobile health service equipped with telemonitoring and teleconsultation using portable medical devices and an Android application. The aim of this study was to assess the challenges and potential improvement in PHC implementation in Indonesia. This study was conducted in February–April 2021 in three primary health centers, Mlati II in Sleman District, Samigaluh II in Kulon Progo, and Kalikotes in Klaten. In-depth interviews were conducted with 11 health workers and community health workers. At the baseline, 268 patients were examined, and 214 patients were successfully followed-up until the third month. A proportion of 32% of the patients required teleconsultations based on automatic triage. Implementation challenges included technical constraints such as complexity of applications;unstable networks;and non-technical constraints, such as the effectivity of training, the availability of doctors, and the workload at the primary health center. PHCs were perceived as an added value in addition to existing community-based health services. The successful implementation of PHCs should not only be considered with respect to technology but also in terms of human impact, organization, and legality. © 2023 by the authors.

ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 outbreak was an issue facing the people of Indonesia and it had a significant impact. One of the potential impacts is on the education sector, such that more use is made of digital media in engaged in learning, the problems found are that children become addicted to gadgets and have a negative impact on their attitudes. There are many techniques for learning implementation, in particular with the use of technology can minimize the negative impact of technology. One of them is learning to stimulate children when aided by augmented reality. The aim of this study was to assess the use of augmented reality-based learning media as an attempt to enhance 4Cs m children's learning with the ketimbang main program. The method employed in mis research is descriptive by observing children (5 - 12 years old) to use of augmented reality to apply learning at Bogor West Java. Data collection techniques use observation and interviews The results of this study are iimovative learning media for children focused on technology, which use augmented reality as the primary priority of their development and it can be mcrease 4Cs (Creative, Critical Thinking, Communicative and Collaborative) achieved by children while playing and learn with Augmented Reality application (Quiver Vision). © 2022 American Institute of Physics Inc.. ABSTRACT

The growing spread of Covid-19 has caused the public to panic and anxiety over the Covid-19 pandemic disease that is beginning to spread by 2020. The government's initiative in curbing Covid-19 symptoms is to recommend Covid-19 vaccines such as Pfizer, Sinovac, AstraZeneca, and others in preventing the benefit of the whole community. The consumption of the Covid-19 vaccine has raised many doubts and negative perceptions. Therefore, the consumption of the Covid-19 vaccine has become a major issue for today's society where some do not want to receive the vaccine or are known as anti-vaccine. The purpose of this study was to analyze the perception, and acceptance of the urban community of Central Malacca in the Duyong area on the Covid-19 vaccine. Studies use quantitative methods for data collection. This study used random sampling to obtain more respondents. The questionnaire was conducted to 100 respondents analyzed and used SPSS software. The survey will focus on respondents aged 18 to 60 to see more perceptual differences by age factors. The results of the study for the collusion test showed that almost all relationships between sociodemographic factors and perceptual factors had negative collusion. The relationship between age and public perception is r =-.12 P <.01. Meanwhile, the vaccine acceptance relationship with the gender factor (r=0.48 P<0.5) also showed negative collusion. The perception that exists is only a blank notion because the majority receive the vaccine well. The adoption of the Covid-19 vaccine is also for the safety and well-being of living together to curb this pandemic outbreak for community sustainability. Therefore, this research can contribute to one of the Sustainable Development Goals-2030 Agenda in order to provide benefits and some enlightenment on the Covid-19 vaccine to the community.

ABSTRACT

A simulation is needed to observe and indicate how much preventive measures influence the pandemic flow, controlling and stopping it. This study succeeded in making a stochastic susceptible infected recovered deceased (SIRD) simulation using Python programming language to determine the effectiveness of prevention methods such as masks policy, social distancing, vaccination, quarantine, and lockdown. Every preventive measure is modeled based on an equivalent actual event and every essential aspect that affects the course of the pandemic. A person is represented as a circle moving freely in two-dimensional space, and disease spreads through person-to-person contact. This simulator then tested using parameters to simulate COVID-19 and found significant results between communities that implement preventive measures and those that do not. We found that within 106 days, 284 people were infected, but when five preventive methods are applied for a total of 33 days, only 31 people were infected. Adequate to simulate epidemic events and their prevention measures, this simulator can also be used as a learning tool with factors in epidemic events such as population density, mobility, infection rate, disease mortality, and every effect of each preventive measure. Users can change and influence the simulation course using interactive and straightforward software tools. © 2022 Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science. All rights reserved.

ABSTRACT

Uncertainty of the COVID-19 outbreak impacts mental health mainly among university students. This research seeks to identify the psychological impact and social support received among nursing students in UiTM Puncak Alam during COVID-19. A cross-sectional study used Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21) and the Impact on Social and Family Support questionnaire among 114 nursing students. Students' anxiety (2.10 +/- 1.20) was higher than depression (1.50 +/- 0.73). However, participants reported receiving substantial social support, especially from family members (1.30 +/- 0.46). In conclusion, half of the participants showed the psychological impact;however, there was an increase in social support during the COVID-19 outbreak.

ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic brought major changes in the education field in Indonesia. The face-to-face learning system that usually dominates the school learning system has changed to an online learning system. The purpose of this study is to reveal how much the correlation between mathematics learning outcomes and students self-regulated learning in elementary schools when online-based learning systems were applied during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a quasi-experiment of the fractions topic which applied to 54 students from one of the elementary schools in central Jakarta, Indonesia. Mathematics learning outcomes test and self-regulated learning questionnaires are given before and after online learning is conducted. Online learning is done with a group of the WhatsApp application and learning videos that are broadcasted through the YouTube channel. The results of the study show that the correlation between mathematics learning outcomes and self-regulated learning of elementary school students is 0.424. Based on the criteria from Guilford, the magnitude of the correlation value is in the medium criteria. The results of the study concluded that there is a correlation between mathematics learning outcomes and students self-regulated learning. The higher the student mathematics learning outcomes, the higher the self-regulated student circulation, and vice versa.

ABSTRACT

This paper examines whether product market competition is associated with Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) and whether corporate governance moderates the effect of product market competition on ESG. Analysis involving 22,897 firm-year observations from 37 countries shows that companies with higher product competition have lower ESG and those with higher corporate governance have higher ESG. The results also indicate the moderating effect of corporate governance, as the negative relationship between product market competition and ESG diminishes for companies with higher corporate governance. The results remain robust in additional analysis using alternative measures for product market competition and corporate governance. The findings support the joint effect of product market competition and corporate governance in determining corporate performance in ESG. The findings reflect the various pressures influencing ESG practices, and on how the strength of corporate governance plays a vital role in ensuring strategic ESG being employed for the sustainable performance of companies. The findings have implications on companies that want to factor ESG into their plans especially to reinvent their companies for the period that follows the COVID-19 pandemic. © Asian Academy of Management and Penerbit Universiti Sains Malaysia, 2021.
